Animal Series Updates-
I took on the challenge of painting a 3 x 6 ft. replica of my painting "The Fight" for an Etsy buyer! I was a bit nervous that it wouldn't be a super exact replica, since there are so many drips and organic marks involved. But I think it turned out great and the buyer was very happy! What do you think?
This was a custom piece! Laura did a great job of communicating through out the process. When the painting arrived and we unpacked it we instantly knew we had made the right decision to have her paint this piece for us. Thank you
Live Event Painting News
I had a blast painting at JG Domestic in Center City, Philadelphia for Jason and Elliot's wedding in May! The views from the venue were amazing and the wedding itself was beautiful. I feel so grateful to share in the special day of so many happy couples.

I have been working on new ways that I can share my story with you. I am debating doing some videos or drawing tutorials. I think that it's a struggle for some of us to talk about ourselves, as it is an unnatural thing to do (for most people).
My past animal series was an experiment in abstraction. Many of my pieces, such as Stag II, were created solely with palette knives and similar materials, other than brushes. I am excited to share my new series with you, which carries heavier themes such as the struggle of the American Indian, and the consciousness of animals.

The last week has been a real whirlwind. This past Monday night I was fortunate enough to be able to paint at the Philadelphia Museum of Art after hours for a private dinner party. The dinner was held for the Girl Scouts of America, and I was asked to incorporate their logo, along with the city skyline and Rocky, into the painting. The Girl Scouts leaders, along with the Philadelphia CVB and the employees of the Art Museum, were such a lovely group of people! It was surreal to paint in one of my favorite places, especially during the holidays!
Last Saturday I did a live event painting of the Warminster Rotary Club Ball. I painted the space, which was the inside of Spring Mill Manor. The painting was up for a silent auction bid, hence the sign. The money raised from the event will be going towards a serenity garden at a children's hospice. Here is the before photo:

Adele has recently said, “In order for me to feel confident with one of my songs it has to really move me. That’s how I know that I’ve written a good song for myself — it’s when I start crying."
It wasn't until I became a home owner that my entire taste in art changed. As a young art student, I was prone to making "shock" art that wasn't really practical for the home. I have since developed a style in my work that speaks to art I would actually hang in my own home, but still touches on my roots as an artist. As a child, I was always drawing horses, cats, and other animals, and I have now come full circle, albeit in a more mature way. When we create work that really moves us, that we would hang in our own home, I believe that is when we've hit the sweet spot.
I am finally caving and starting my blog, after much feet dragging. I realized that I do have a lot to say, and I want you all to know more about my art and why I create what I do.
Lately life has been busy with both event paintings and custom commissions. I have taken on a very unique painting request for something that I wouldn't normally create. I believe that as artists, we must be flexible in honoring our customers' requests. Just because we're artists doesn't mean we don't have to listen to the customer! I am happy with how it's coming along. I can't wait to show everyone when it's complete!
A few weeks ago I did a live painting at a fundraiser for the SS United States, a ship whose passengers included: JFK, Marilyn Monroe, John Wayne, Bill Clinton, etc. The ship is being kept at a pier in Philadelphia, where they hope to raise enough money to redevelop it. Thank you to the SS Conservancy for having me and to my new collector, Mary, for her support in bidding on my painting!
